Saam Fu brings Chinese New Year lion dance to Hawaii News Now
Honolulu, HI – Saam Fu Chinese Cultural Arts had the privilege of filming a segment for HI Now on Hawaii News Now’s morning broadcast. To ring in the Year of the Rat, Saam Fu team members performed a special lion dance in studio.
In addition to the performance, HI Now hosts Jobeth Devera and Kanoe Gibson got in on the action. After Sifu Brandon Tom gave them a quick tutorial on some of the lion’s movements and stance work, they were ready to perform a lion dance of their own.
